We had a really good time with my mom here. It was nice to have an extra set of hands around during the day. I'm on my own for a week here in Dallas until we (the kids & I) leave for Lubbock next week. But it is getting easier every day.

The day we went to the zoo...and it was about 103 degrees, I am not kidding. The zoo itself was great, but not sure if it was worth it. We were melting from the minute we stepped out of the car.

After being there for about an hour, we opted to ride the train to the other end of the zoo instead of walking. It was a good choice.

The cutest swimsuit ever. My friend Angela gave it to me as a shower present, and I LOVE it. I think my favorite part is the ruffle across the bum.

One of the cutest faces ever. Her eyes are blue and keep getting lighter. At this rate they will be the same light blue color like B has.

First time in the pool - she appeared to have enjoyed herself. I mean, how can you really tell if a baby likes something? She didn't cry, if that is a good sign.

We've been outside a lot, can you tell?
This week is going to be all indoor activities, I've decided.
Play area at the mall, (there is one around here I've heard is amazing, I'll let you know how it goes) library, indoor jumping places - the only way I was going to brave it outside was if someone was here with me. It's one thing to let your two year old run through a spray park, but it hardly seems fair to drag a six week old along and have her sweat it out in a sling or car carrier.
Have I mentioned how HOT it is here? It is sweltering, and doesn't seem to be cooling down anytime soon. The low tonight - overnight - is supposed to be 80. Really?
I'm jealous that you are back in Vancouver, Mom. Live the weather up for me, will you?
And we miss you already.
