I'm so glad everyone is as excited as we are for this baby!
I am due May 29th.
I'm 12 weeks along now. From week 7 to week 10 I was pretty nauseous, but it never got worse than that.
I would have written a post sooner, but this past week I have been battling with lower back pain.
I have a new found respect/sympathy for people with chronic back pain. (Which began as soon as I stopped feeling sick. Figures.) I've had it a week and have cried at least once a day. And I think I have a pretty high pain threshold.
I've been to a couple doctors now and they have yet to figure it out.
Luckily, they have ruled out the fact that it has anything to do with the baby. They did an ultrasound and the baby looked great. Worse case scenario, it is just pregnancy back pain & I will have to deal with it the rest of my pregnancy. (All 6 MONTHS that remain. Shoot me now.)
I have high hopes it is just something that can be cured with medicine. I can dream, right?
Luckily, Dave has been great and has taken over all my wifely duties - cleaning, watching B, unloading the dishwasher - he's awesome.
That is about it. Hopefully when I post next I will feel like a brand new person.

Have you checked your gallbladder. Mine caused a LOT of back pain and pregnancy hormones are what did mine in. :o) (It also gave me chest/heart attack/heartburn type pains too but I've known people who have had just that back pain.)
I had pretty bad back pain in the beginning this time, too, but it went away for the most part. Gallbladder is a good guess, too.
May's a good time to have a baby :)
If you ever need me to watch Bentley again I really don't mind. And if your back is prohibiting you from doing normal everyday things, call me, I'd love to help. Seriously.
Sorry to hear you're in pain Chels. On the flip side...congratulations! We're very happy to hear the good news. Hope you get some relief SOON.
Love
Jenny

We have a blog too, but I need your email address to invite you if you are interested. email me at dougyamber@yahoo.com and I'll send you an invite.
oh wow--I too have ALWAYS taken my back for granted! Seriously though, back pain halts life in and of itself!! Have you gone to the chiro? Seriously, go get adjusted-as bad as that might sound-it'll do wonders!! p.s. didn't know you were prego-congrats!!!
When you said party of five, I totally remember watching that with you! I love that show...and of course when LOST came on I had to see Matthew Fox again.
Congratulations! Hope you feel better!
oh i hope u feel better..ill ask my bro is a chiropractor if he suggests anything...also i think its a girl if its a dif pregnancy!
I don't mean to also offer a suggestion, however I was the same and at first they just kept saying it was from throwing up so much, but after 5 months I wasn't really throwing up and still had such HORRIBLE back pain. The doc finally figured out my uterus is tipped all the way back so she was litterally sitting on my tailbone. I only used a lot of heated up rice pads which helped a little, but unfortunately nothing really worked. Maybe yours is the same? Oh and my sister was the same as the first person and by her second child it was removed. Those darn gallbladders!
Congrats! so i guess i am out of the loop but i just wanted to say that i am so happy for you guys!
