Does blogging ever feel like a chore to some people? Loading all the pictures on your computer, picking out the ones you want to post & format them, load them onto your blog...blah blah. Don't get me wrong, I like having a blog, and I understand that if you want people to look at your blog, (or ever get frusterated with someone when they don't post a new post every other day) you must blog yourself. I feel better now.
We had a three day weekend last week, so we took advantage of it and went to Waco. (You would think we would have a longer break, seeing as it is between summer terms, but the law school wants to be different and have a completely different break from the undergrad school. Not that we are complaining here. :) ) It was a nice break & very relaxing to hang out with Dave's fam.
(I posted A LOT of pictures - just warning you.)
He only did this when we were listening to a Sarah Mclaughlin CD. He took his fingers right out when we popped in a Jay-Z/Linkin Park (I'll say it - I'm big fan) CD.

My mother-in-law made these aprons for her kids when they were little. How awesome is that?
No wonder (most) of them can quote lines from all the movies. :)

Please excuse my greasy hair. My mother-in-law and I just got back from a walk. It's HUMID there. It was only 8am!

Good times at the spray park. This time around sprinklers, B ran full-blast into them. He wasn't so sure about them a few months back. If only they had one of these parks in Lubbock...

He is so into throwing things now. Luckily, he's not strong enough to hurt anyone. Yet. (The kid
does have an arm on him, though. It's pretty impressive.)

We bought a membership to the science spectrum here in town, and it was worth every penny. Our pass gets us into any participating ASTC museums across Texas. We spent a day in Austin, (which, I might add, is a pretty sweet city. I was pleasantly suprised) and we used our pass to get into the children's museum in the downtown area, for free.

B was quite taken with the fish - he couldn't take his eyes off them. For about 20 seconds. Then it was off to the next exibit. You mothers out there with toddlers know that is a long time in their world.

Wasting time in the car, waiting for William (Dave's brother) and his wife Rebecca to get home from work so we could have dinner with them.

Bentley plus a camera doesn't work really well anymore. He's always moving. I tried to get some good shots with William & Rebecca, but B wasn't cooperating very well. Bent
loved playing at their apt. He hit it off really well with Uncle William, too.
These next three photos are great because we had the camera on the counter, on a timer, and William would set it, race around the living room for a bit to get Bentley to smile, and B would ultimately look over at William right as it went off. Here is what we got for our efforts:

He's finally looking at the camera - and expressing his excitement over the blinking light, apparently.

Dave fixing a leaky toliet at his parents house. That is a wax ring, by the way. Who knew that those go under toliets these days? Not me.

The neighbor across the street was leveling out his backyard, and Mark and Matthew were helping him distribute the dirt. The dump truck pulled up, and we couldn't waste a prime photo opportunity.

B watching Uncle Mark sorting out dirt. (Can you tell I have no idea what he's doing? Yeah, I'm a girl like that.) And you better believe B did not stop until he was standing in that dirt and running it through his hands.

B did great on the trip, and most of it was in the car. We discovered, unfortunantly, that he can talk to himself for hours in the backseat. He also loves to sing with the radio, and point out ALL the trucks he could see. (Thanks for teaching him the word "truck", mom. We heard "tuh...tuh...tuh..." more times than I could count. :)

Yay! I practically peed a little when I saw that you had a new post. I have to admit that I never feel like blogging is a chore. I love, love, love it! (Totally addicted.) I actually feel more stressed out when I haven't posted anything in a couple days. Weird. Which means...lately I've been stressed alot over it because I've been slacking since we started working on the house. Oh well. I have something to post int he morning.
Hope you have a happy fourth. B gets cuter each time I see him. :o)
David, the next time you have a break, ANY break, no matter how long or short, you HAVE to come visit us. B and E are missing out on prime cousin time! Or Chels, get your butt on a plane and let's get these kids together! Aug. would be good since the all the kids will be in school except E. Please.....!
Looks like you all had a great trip...I love how he put his fingers in his ears when he didn't like the music, too funny! Even though he's a "moving boy" I thought you got some really cute pictures of him! He's a Cute Kid! He also looks so much older now...babies grow too quick! Darn!
