I was tagged by my cousin-in-law, (that just sounds funny, doesn't it?) and since it was so interesting to read things about her that I never knew, I thought, why the heck not. Here goes...
1) I hate to have my kitchen dirty. It really bothers me. It doesn't bother me at other people's kitchens, just my own. I have to have my kitchen clean before I start making/preparing food. It really stresses me out to have a messy kitchen. It never bothered me until after I got married. Now I completely understand my mom's insistence that the house was always clean, especially when company is coming over.
2)Ever since I went to my first rodeo at age 12 or 13, I thought it would be SO fun to be a barrel rider. Strange, I know, but the first time I saw a girl on her horse flying like the wind, I wanted to be just like her. I probably wouldn't jump at the chance now, seeing I have a husband and son to come home to, but in my single days I would have been all over that.
3) I HATE touching old things, like books or letters that are decades old. It grosses me out, much like the way some people hate touching snakes or rodents. I don't know what it is about old things...they make me shudder.
4) Some people already know this about me, but I DESPISE the movie, "Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory." For some reason, that movie makes me uncomfortable. Maybe it was just Gene Wilder and his crazy eyes and personality. And don't even get me started about oompa loompas. I firmly believe that the people who wrote that were on drugs. (Ironically, I love the movie "Labyrinth" I realize many people think of David Bowie the same way I think of Gene Wilder. But David Bowie MAKES that movie! And for some reason he isn't as creepy as Gene. His pants, maybe...)
5) I have this huge paranoia about someone breaking into our apt. and hurting me or Dave or Bentley. I wouldn't care if they took things - I would actually prefer that they take our things if that meant they wouldn't hurt us. Seriously, I check to see if the door is locked three or four times every night.
6) My dream someday (after all our kids are grown and out of the house) is to go to Africa or someplace like it and do a Jane Goodall study. It doesn't have to necessarily be with monkeys, but that would be my first pick. My second dream is to work at a zoo. I'm not talking about the bottom feeders that would have to clean out the animal areas, but I would like to be a trainer or something similar to it. Or a marine biologist...too bad I did HORRIBLE at science all through my education days. Otherwise I would have majored in it at college.
There you have it. I'll tag whoever wants to join in. It's pretty fun once you get into it.

"Oompa Loompa Oompa-di-doo. Have I got another riddle for you!" haha :o) I always think of you when i see anything resembling an oompla loompa.
I also like your paranoia. I also suffer from this - it started when I was preggo with Dean and stayed ever since. Even in Rexburg I would wake Devin up and make him check the locks. SAD! (You can only imagine how freaked I am in Houston.)
(I already knew most of those so this isn't to comment on that.....)
BUT....
Chels, I love ya, but the music on this blog is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! It's annoying, loud when I don't know what volume my monitor is at and music that's NOT on my favorites list! AARRGGG!!
Sorry....it just bugs, is all.
Oh, and I love ya.
Jod, if you don't like it, you can push the pause button in the upper left hand corner of the green play list. (Under all our friends and family list of blogs on the right side of the screen.) If it STILL bugs you after that, let me know. Again.:)
I know & I do push it.
It's still annoying.
But, I know it's YOUR blog and the music is a reflection of you & Dave and you guys should be able to put whatever you want on your blog........
I just have other friends and family who have the same and they're annoying, too.
I'll have to live with it.
(and I'll still look at your blog :o)
Whenever I look at your blog, it's different. :o) Heehee.
Haha! Different again. This is fun. :o)
