Life with a toddler

B & I have been having some good times together this past month. Dave is so busy with school this semester, so it leaves B & I a lot of time to figure out things to do until Daddy gets home.

Some fun things he's been learning:
-Talking like crazy. I would put a list on here of everything he says, but I wouldn't be able to remember them all. He learns 1-2 new words everyday.
-Repeats everything we say. (Like "Oh crap", for example. Oops.)
-Climbs onto the kitchen chairs and sits at the table everytime he eats. He even has good posture, too. It's so cute. (It's probably because he needs to sit up straight to reach the table top.)
-Turns on the T.V. by himself and plops down and watches whatever is on at the time.
-Tries (and fails) to open the fridge, at the same time asking "Peas? Yum." ('Yum' always follows 'Peas' these days. And 'peas' translates to please, not actual peas. I wish he would ask for vegetables!)
-Pushes his toy cars on the ground & tables while making car sounds.

Some NOT fun things he is learning to do:
-Turns on the T.V. by himself. (Maybe that is his way of saying he is bored with me?)
-Climbs onto chairs and then proceeds to climb onto the kitchen table/computer table.
-Climbs onto the computer chair and then reaches for the keyboard and pretends to type. (Which would be really cute if he wasn't doing it about, oh, eight times a day. My computer can only take so much abuse.)
-Opens the pantry door and helps himself to whatever floats his boat at the time. (I do have a rudimentary lock on the door, but who remembers to put it back every time? Not me.)
-Starting to have a fascination with the toilet flush knob.(what do you call those things?)I guess that's better than being fascinated by the water IN the toilet.
-Taking his diaper off and proceeding to pee on the carpet. (Sorry about that again, Lorraine.) Looks like the days of him running around in just a shirt and diaper are long gone.

I LOVE that it is sweatshirt weather now. I probably won't being saying that in a month, but for right now it is great.

My son with no neck. Which is kind of ironic, considering that fact that he inheriteted my super long neck. This picture just makes him look like a turtle. (Aren't his shoes awesome? I've had my eye on them forever, and finally got them the other day.)

No reason for this picture - I just like the position he's in. It's so cute to me.

So happy he is sitting at the table.

Right after he woke up one day. He got his milk and went straight to the table.

He looks so old to me right here!

Being a ham, pose 1....

Being a ham, pose 2. (I think this smile makes him look so much like his cousin Christopher.)

I've never been able to let Sophie run around in a diaper. I think I've done it twice and the last time I had put her down for a nap only to find her standing up later, pointing at the ground where her diaper was tossed. Luckily she didn't pee on anything.

Bentley is so cute. And I like that pose, too. I love it when Sophie squats like that. :)

I love how we buy the same things at Target all the time. I totally have that same tablecloth but in beige.

I stayed with my sister in New Jersey for a week at the beginning of the year & anytime my nephew was throwing a tantrum or doing something totally obnoxious, my sister turn to me & say something along the lines of, "oh...this is when it all gets really really cute. Isn't his tantrum SOOO cute?" (with intense sarcasm in her voice).

Great post! Life with a two year only sounds fantastic. I have got to get me one of those.

(OK how many times am I gonna write this......?) E is the same....the fridge thing, the cars thing, the computer thing....almost everything you said. You could have posting about my son instead of yours!

(wish you were here....I need a workout buddy right now. I was thinking of you as I was sweating up a storm, "Chelsea could TOTALLY get into this......")

Dean was just like that, still is on some things. I have to say, I used to think that B looked more like Dave than you but he looks EXACTLY like you in the second photo (he's sitting in his sweatshirt). Such a cutie!

That's so funny what you said about his neck. I didn't even notice until you said it, but I did notice that he is soooo cute in that second pic. He looks like a little AE baby model.
